About Allen Kelly and Company

Allen Kelly has been working in the air conditioning and heating and contracting field since 1972. In the early eighties he met Joan Newport, a business woman with an MBA from Wake Forest University. They have been together ever since.

In 1986 Allen Kelly was hired to oversee the major remodel of a large private school located in Raleigh. They needed a licensed general contractor to oversee their remodeling projects. Shortly after taking that position, friends and co-workers started asking Allen if he knew of a reliable air conditioning / heating contractor. Allen already held unlimited heating and air conditioning licenses as well as electrical and plumbing licenses. When he could not find any heating contractors that he trusted enough to recommend to friends, he decided to do the jobs himself. Allen Kelly Air Conditioning and Heating was born. When the first customers started telling their friends about the outstanding work and service that they received, Allen quickly found himself with more referrals than he could possibly handle. He brought in his step son, Michael Newport, to help and Allen Kelly & Company, Inc. was formed. Allen and Joan Kelly have held true to their original philosophy that customer service is the most important part of any business plan. They have stressed this philosophy to every employee that has joined the company since.

Allen Kelly & Company, Inc. now employs over eighty people working in its commercial, residential, and sheet metal fabrication departments. Every employee is constantly reminded that customer service is our number one priority. Most of the members of our management team have been with the company since the early days. They have adopted the Allen Kelly & Company, Inc. philosophy of customer service, and the Allen Kelly way of doing business.

The company is currently housed in a 10,000 square foot facility, which has sections for management and administration, our Computer Aided Manufacturing System driven custom Sheet Metal and Duct shop, and offices for our field technicians.
